Find Technologies

Looks a technology up by name, e.g. ?q=hubspot, and returns up to limit technologies (10 unless you say otherwise, at most 25) with their slug, category and on how many companies our technology data saw them. exact marks a name or slug that is exactly what you asked; case, spaces and punctuation do not count (Hubspot is HubSpot).

Use the slug in POST /technologies/companies and POST /company/tech-stack. A technology that is not here is one the data does not know, so those endpoints cannot find it either: never use another technology in its place.

Authentication

Send Authorization: Bearer gtk_…. Create the key under Connect assistant → API keys. This endpoint answers for every key with API access: it is not behind the Signals API or the Company API. A missing, invalid or revoked key is 401. Every response includes mySDR-Api-Version, mySDR-Request-Id and Cache-Control: no-store, and a response to an accepted key also X-RateLimit-*; every error has type, message, param and request_id.

Query parameters

  • q string · required — The name of the technology, 1 to 80 characters, e.g. hubspot or Microsoft Dynamics.
  • limit integer — How many technologies to return, 1 to 25. Defaults to 10.

Response

  • object string — Always list. One of: list.
  • data object[] — The technologies, exact matches first.
  • data[].slug string — The key the technology endpoints take, e.g. hubspot.
  • data[].name string — The name, e.g. HubSpot.
  • data[].category string | null — The kind of tool, e.g. Marketing.
  • data[].companies integer | null — On how many companies, worldwide, our technology data saw it.
  • data[].exact boolean — True when the name or slug is exactly what you asked.
  • exact_match object | null — slug and name of the first exact match; null when none is exact.
  • message string — Only when nothing is exact: what to do (ask the user which one they mean, or check the spelling).
